On August 2nd, 2025, we took over Luna Vista Golf Course for the Inaugural Snap Hook Golf Tournament. What started as a half-baked idea over a couple beers during the Masters somehow turned into a full-blown, sunburned, charity driven, beer-soaked day that none of us will ever forget.

We didn’t know if anyone would show up. We didn’t know if we’d raise a dime. But you did. You showed up early, stayed late, and played like it mattered. By the time the dust settled and the last raffle ticket was pulled, we raised $6,100 for Vogel Alcove — a crew of folks from Dallas helping kids and families in the DFW area claw their way out of homelessness and poverty.

This tournament was about more than jackets or plaques (though our winners looked sharp in theirs, and the top three teams will be forever immortalized at The Loon Bar & Grill). Every swing, every curse word after a shanked drive, every dollar tossed into the raffle pot pushed us closer to something bigger: making sure every kid in this city has a shot at a safe home, strong family, and successful future.

To the players, the sponsors, the donors, and the folks who just wouldn’t shut up about the event until their friends signed up: you made this happen. And we’re not done. Not even close.
